Jim has always enjoyed building things with his hands and was introduced to the construction industry through his father and older brother. He finds that the industry suits his personality, allowing him to idealize, problem-solve and plan. Jim believes that many reasons he was drawn to the industry have kept him in it, as he enjoys being continuously challenged and critically thinking.  

Over the past 16 years with Harvey Cleary, he has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types, including corporate interiors, classified facilities, manufacturing facilities, and mid-rise and high-rise office buildings. His favorite projects include some of our most notable projects: SXSW Headquarters, HEB’s Austin office and the Tesoro campus. 

While Jim is extremely proud of the buildings he builds, he believes the staff he has the opportunity to mentor, train, and develop are his most notable accomplishments. Jim attributes his success to the people who helped shape his career and strives to give his teams the same level of dedication and support he was given in his career. Jim works best working alongside his employees, never shying away from taking on tasks that support the team, no matter how big or small they may be. 

In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and fly fishing and hunting. His favorite place to get away with his family is the Colorado mountains.
