With the support of family members in the AEC industry, Matt pursued a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering before starting his construction career. He enjoys the complex challenges that the industry brings and has had the opportunity to work on both ground-up projects and occupied building renovations. 

Matt enjoys the granular details of the preconstruction process, as he believes that the effort spent planning optimizes the project budget, mitigates risk, and clearly defines the project’s goals. He also helps manage our self-perform steel erection crews who work on projects across the United States.  

When he is not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters and pursuing his hobbies of golfing, fishing, hunting and playing music. Matt and his family can often be found anywhere with a beach and a body of water.

What’s the best advice Matt can give someone?

“Never stop learning. Strive to be a better listener and take every opportunity to be a sponge and learn as much as you can from others.”
