Austin Energy Headquarters

The Austin Energy Headquarters is a four-story office building in the Mueller Development. The lobby of the building has terrazzo flooring made to resemble the Colorado River that passes through Austin. The lobby is adorned with wood paneling on the ceiling and walls and features a 6,000-pound turbine from the Decker Lake Power Plant, which is no longer in use.

The new corporate headquarters comprises almost 280,000 square feet of office space, including a large ground-floor common area dedicated to customer service and staff amenities such as a café terrace and patio. The building also has structured parking that can accommodate around 1,000 vehicles.

This project has been certified LEED Platinum and received Austin Energy Green Building’s Five Star rating. It aims to achieve WELL v2 Silver Building certification and will be a demonstration project for the latest sustainability and energy efficiency strategies.
