The PNNL Energy Science Center is a multi-use facility housing research space, mixed-use open space, and office space that provides labs, workstations, and flexible workspace for approximately 200 PNNL and visiting scientists, engineers and research support staff. The facility offers a collection of state-of-the-art research instrumentation to support fundamental chemistry, materials science, and computational science research. Key features include over 130 chemical and custom reactor hoods, 100 snorkels, high-performance electron microscopes, over a dozen NMRs and all flexible/adaptable laboratory casework.
